Whether it’s time spent consulting with artists on their equipment or time spent in the studio developing a client’s masterpiece, Ian Roegels is a leading industry expert at the forefront of the scene.  Though not a household name, he’s been a consistent force for over 30 years with a talent that rivals his contemporaries.  He spent his childhood growing up in Oklahoma City learning to play and produce music. Eventually he earned a degree with honors in music production from the University of Central Oklahoma vía the Academy of Contemporary Music, founded by Scott Booker (The Flaming Lips). 
 
As a producer, engineer, mixer, and musician, Ian has had his hands in a wide variety of projects over the years.  An artist in his own right, his work as a producer often incorporates his own sounds and textures into the recordings giving them a unique flavor and feel. This approach has won him acclaim and recognition from his peers, from bedroom musicians to Grammy winners.  No matter the genre, Ian’s focus is on the song and the artist, ensuring that the final product is the best it can be.
 
In addition to his work in the studio, Ian is also a highly sought after consultant, working with artists across the globe in the development of new projects at Sweetwater Sound.  He has served as a consultant for educational institutions, government facilities, and live performance venues.  
 
2022 saw the release of the EP “Navigating Dystopia” by dangerous robot to critical acclaim and saw Ian move from a producer role to being a full member.  "Ian Roegels helped bring dangerous robot from a garage band to a professional act", says Gunner Williams.  "If you’re looking for that secret sauce for your music he’s your huckleberry. You can borrow him but you can’t have because we found him first!"
 
In 2023 Ian released first solo release since 2018 entitled “Blue Marmalade”, a full fledged pop album featuring notable guest artists including Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Moog Cookbook, Malibu), Kenny Aronoff (John Mellancamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins), Nick D’Virgilio (Spock's Beard, Genesis), Subcat artist Christian Parker, Grammy nominated artist Cory Landry, and Damon Mitchell.
